Autumn Lundy Carolla, 42, of St. Joseph sadly passed away on Nov. 20, 2023. Her soul found peace and will forever live on in the great outdoors and Lake Michigan. Autumn was born on Nov. 2, 1981, in Kalamazoo, Mich.
She graduated from South Haven High School in 2000. Autumn continued her education at Southern Oregon University, earning a bachelor's degree. She lived in Oregon for six years, loving the Pacific Northwest and all its beauty before returning to Michigan.
Autumn was born free-spirited, and that spirit continued with her throughout her life. From the time she was born, she was a silent leader with a loud impact. She had deep empathy for all people and always focused on doing the right thing, even when it was difficult. Autumn was a gifted artist, equestrian, sailor, swimmer, dancer, writer and always had a keen sense of style. Autumn had a passion for challenging the status quo and implemented meaningful changes that impacted her community. She was a perfectionist in everything, from being a mother, to being a partner, and to being a friend.
Autumn was the consummate professional. Her attention to detail and innate talent for connecting people and resources were highly valued and appreciated by all who worked with her. For nearly eight years, Autumn served as secretary to the board of directors and operations manager of the Michigan's Great Southwest Strategic Leadership Council. She was part of the team creating The Leadership Accelerator series and was program director in 2018-19. More recently, Autumn was operations administrator for Translator's Consulting Group, LLC, a management consulting firm dedicated to helping companies make inclusion a reality in the workplace. Autumn volunteered in her community serving on many boards and committees.
Autumn is survived by her husband, Corey Carolla; children: Hayden Thompson, and four stepchildren: Jalen (Kyle) Gibson, Benjamin Carolla, Matthew Carolla and Eve Carolla; father, Robert Lundy; mother, Elizabeth Lundy; brother, Jordan Lundy; niece, Grace Lundy and nephew, Mason Lundy.
She was preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents and two uncles.
A gathering will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Immediately following there will be a continued time of fellowship at Haymarket Taproom, 9301 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman.
Memorial donations will be gathered by the family, care of Corey Carolla and utilized to sustain her dedication to community and assisting others.
