A graveside service will be held for Avis on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Westminster Memorial Gardens, 2090 Highway 54, Peachtree City, Georgia 30269, with Pastor John Dewberry officiating.

She is survived by her son, William Barber, Jr., and his wife, Barbara; sister, Barbara Hayes; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

My sweet sweet baby. I miss you so much and I love you! You fought a good fight and now you are resting in heaven. Avis you were definitely one of a kind! I love you! Until we meet again.....

My sweet lady. Avis finally made it to Newnan. I work in the facility where she lived. She was notorious for getting out the door and heading to Newnan. She kept me on my toes. I'm sad that she is gone but I know she's not hurting anymore. She is missed terribly. She had stories to tell if you sat and listened. She would laugh like nobody was watching when she was in her room. I will miss her so much. I looked forward to seeing her every day.
