Avis H. Fadely

Mrs. Avis H. Fadely, age 91, of Glenwood, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025, after a brief illness at Jeff Davis Hospital. She was a native of Gaylord, Michigan, moved to Florida in 1995 before moving to Glenwood in 2018. Avis received her Master of Education from Oakland University and taught for more than thirty years before retiring. She was a member of a bridge club and enjoyed processing and canning their own food, gardening and fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-two years, Jan Fadely; daughter, Lynn Ellen Fadely; and one son, Douglas Fadely.

Mrs. Fadely is survived by her two children, Jean Marie Hamlin and husband Michael of Lansing, Michigan, Rich Fadely and William Benjamin Fadely both of Glenwood; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will have a private service at a later date.

The arrangements have been entrusted to Wilkes Funeral Home of Vidalia.
