Ayden was born on March 21, 2005 in
Orlando, Florida, and passed away December 10, 2025 in Elgin, Illinois surrounded by his loving family.
How does one describe the universe of qualities that Ayden contained. He was our little fire. He was fierce and eager to try new things. He was baby A and decided to come into the world early, weighing 4lbs 3oz. He was the best friend to his twin brother and often the one to try new things while Andrew waited to see if it was ok. Ayden was curious and athletic. He dove headfirst into life as well as the pool when he was a 3-year-old and literally taught himself how to swim. Ayden loved to learn about his special interests. He loved learning about history, guitars and amps. He was the biggest fan of Green Day; he loved going to Guitar Center with Andrew; liked Diary of a Wimpy Kid a little too much, and his favorite color was blue. When he wanted something, there was no stopping him from achieving it. He taught himself to play guitar in 4th grade just from ear and a steadfast spirit to learn. Ayden loved to skateboard and be outside. He would often be found on the trails in Minneola with his mom who would walk and he and his brother on their boards or at the Groveland Skatepark. Ayden loved trying new activities like frisbee golf, lacrosse, or a new restaurant with the best sodas. Ayden was easy going and he could always be bribed with fro-yo to go hiking. Ayden was up for an adventure. He loved family dance parties and had an appreciation for music like his dad. He looked forward to hiking in North Carolina, going to the beach with his family, volunteering at church, Bible studies, and road trips to Illinois to see family. He was a fun and loving kiddo, with a heart for his brothers!
Besides being fearless, Ayden knew what he liked, and it wasn't Aldi's chocolate milk or a dry sandwich. "Ayden was particular," quoted Andrew Boysen. He loved his mayonnaise and parmesan cheese to the point that it may have made his grandmother wince. He loved a Chicago style hotdog, was getting pretty into holiday creamy vanilla coke, and was able to make wandering any retail story an adventure. Ayden loved his beanie and snow caps, had every hairstyle under the sun, and loved SB Dunks and a comfy hoodie.
Ayden was kind, genuine and trying to live his truth. He was authentic and wanted to live with integrity. Ayden took responsibility for his actions and never blamed anyone else. He was a leader. Ayden was never created for the ordinary, and as he got older and peers and friends got consumed by phones and social media, Ayden wanted deeper connection. He was far more than the interests and activities that he enjoyed, he was an old soul, a deep thinker and had a profound interest in people. He sought meaningful one-on-one connections, always offering encouragement, warmth, and sincere affection to the people he loved. Ayden was naturally clever and quick-witted. He was spontaneous and fun. He had the best smile and the most beautiful deep blue eyes. He enjoyed conversations with the adults in his life who treated him with integrity and respect. He had the ability to bring out the unique parts in a person and make them feel unconditionally accepted for being themselves. Ayden always maintained hope in life and wanted to start school to be a nurse in January. He wanted to help others. Ayden made those in his life feel seen, appreciated and valued. He has blessed us with the shortest yet sweetest 20 years of his life and his love, laughter, and light will never be forgotten. Ayden you are written in our hearts and minds and your memory with never be forgotten and we promise to make it a blessing. Ayden Nicholas – Little fire that brings victory.
Loving son of Joshua and Bernice; beloved brother of Benjamin; and rockstar twin of Andrew; cherished grandson of Renee and James Fabsits and James Boysen. Adored nephew of Kimberly and Paul Stephens, Stacey and Adam Kowalski, Bill and Joy Fabsits, Liz and John Pavone, and Jill Boysen. Dear cousin of Carson, Alexa and Parker Stephens, Ainsley and Tessa Kowalski, Ian and Zac Fabsits, Leo and Luke Pavone and Ryder Boysen. Ayden was a friend to all.
