WALTER V. MCHUGH JR.

Walter V. McHugh Jr., resident of Schaumburg for 54 years was born September 20, 1946 in Queens, New York. He passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23rd surrounded by his loving family.

Walter, "Skip," "Wally," was a loving husband to his wife, Mary Jo for 57 years. Wally was a proud father to Jeffrey, Steven, Michael (Ashley) and adoring Grandfather to Sadie.

Son of the late Walter Vincent Sr. and late Hilda nee Fontana, fond brother to the late Michael (Charlotte) and late James McHugh. Son in law to the late John and Grace Petrelli, Brother in law to the late Joanne (Petrelli) (Ken). Uncle to Chris (Shana), Melissa (Adam), Great Uncle to Miles and Haley. Beloved Uncle, Great Uncle, Cousin and dear friend to many. Wally will be missed by his fur baby Sunny and the late Frosty.

Wally was a graduate of Lane Tech high school class of 1964. In 1967 he joined the National Guard in Chicago. In May 1968 he married his High School Sweetheart Mary Jo. Wally was a Sales Manager at Harris Equipment for 35 years.

Wally was a Cub Scout Master and Community Theater Producer for 25 years.

He enjoyed playing poker, attending his son's hockey games and was an avid Disney World attendee.

Wally was a dedicated family man that worked countless hours providing for his family. He touched many people's lives and taught a great extent of valuable lessons. Wally will be missed by all those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 14th from 10:00am to 12:00 noon at Michael's Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg 60193, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11:00am.
