Barbara (Brand) Wagner, age 88, of De Pere, passed away with her children by her side and was reunited with her loving husband, Jerry, on April 11, 2025. The daughter of the late Michael P. and Mildred (Morrisey) Brand was born on April 25, 1936, in Sheboygan, WI
Barb, a graduate of Central High School in Sheboygan and the Marquette University School of Nursing, dedicated her life to caring for others. Her passion for nursing led her to become a Nurse with Visiting Angels, where she touched the lives of countless families.
On October 22, 1960, Barb married the love of her life, Jerome "Jerry" Wagner, at St. Clements Church in Sheboygan, WI. Together, they created a loving home with their four children. She was a long-time member of St. Francis Xavier Parish in De Pere. Barbara was a member of the Green Bay Women’s Club and spent many hours volunteering at the Green Bay Botanical Garden, St. Francis Xavier Church in De Pere, and St. Vincent De Paul. Barbara had a green thumb and loved gardening. She was an avid sports fan and was always cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Marquette basketball, Minnesota Gophers (especially the Men’s Swim Team) and Wisconsin Badgers. She really enjoyed watching and cheering on her grandchildren in their sports activities and following them in their other achievements and travels. She loved family vacations, traveling with Jerry, visiting family and exploring Door County. It was her favorite place, especially Egg Harbor where she spent so much time enjoying the beach, the 4th of July and her gorgeous bluff view.
Barb is survived by: her daughter Nancy (John) Lund and their children Rachel (Chris) Shumacher and Alexandra (Aaron) Cohen; son Mike (Beth) Wagner and their children Luke (Katie) Wagner and Nate Wagner and Luke and Katie’s children Rose and Patrick; daughter Mary Claire (Mike) McHugh and their children Conner (Kate) McHugh and Maxwell McHugh and Conner and Kate’s daughter, Camille; son Robert (Tonya) and their children, Haakon, Larissa and Bergen Wagner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, and parents, Michael and Mildred Brand.
Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on Monday, April 21, from 9:30am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with the Rev. Mike Ingold officiating. Private entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum beside Jerry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul or the Green Bay Botanical Gardens.
