Barbara Ann Spitler passed away suddenly in Baton Rouge, LA on April 28th, 2025. Barb was born and raised in Omaha NE, later relocating to Council Bluffs, IA. She graduated from Omaha North High School in 1981. After raising her family, she worked at Omaha Public Schools as a Paraprofessional for many years, retiring in 2019. Barb loved her cats Lucy and Sage, the NE Huskers and doing genealogy on a daily basis. Barb also loved good food and Corvettes. She devoted her life to her children, and grandchildren, who she valued and cherished.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Glenn(Mary), son, Patrick of Council Bluffs, IA and daughter, Robyn(Adam) of Woodbine, IA and grandchildren Patrick, Dustin, Rose, Nevaeh, Patience, Audrey and Everleigh. She is preceded in death by Parents Glenn and Lois Smith and son Michael Smith
Visitation Monday 5 - 7 pm at Roeder Mortuary. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday (5/13/25) at Roeder Mortuary.
