BEDFORD, Barbara K. - age 61, of Fenton, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, May 2, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Barbara was born October 18, 1946 in Flint. She married Dennis Bedford on November 19, 1966. Barbara worked in many retail stores including Friendly Flowers, Mr. Dino's and Dansk in Birch Run. She was very thoughtful and creative. Barbara enjoyed gardening, music, old movies, walks in Byram Lake Park and Tigers Baseball. Most importantly, she loved her family. Left to cherish her memory are: husband, Dennis of Fenton; two daughters, Shelley and husband, Gregg Hanchett of Flushing, Carrie Bedford of Linden and Todd Degazio; four grandchildren, Hayley, Aaron and Jackson Hanchett and Madeline Smith; father, Leo Stone; siblings, Gary Liddell and wife, Shirley, Linda Sommerville and husband, Charles, Mike Stone and wife, Valerie; sister-in-law, Barbara Dion and husband, Tom; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Mafalda and Dennis Hord, Donna and Dick Burris, Pam and Greg Newhart, and Diane Setzke. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Mary A. Stone and brother, Robert Liddell in 1987. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
