Betty Grant Obituary
GRANT, Betty Jane- age 88 of Fenton, formerly of Riverview, passed away on August 11, 2025. No services will be held, and cremation arrangements were provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.
Betty was born August 25, 1936, in Ecorse, the daughter of Julius and Catherine (Nemeth) Pongracz. She married Vern E. Grant on November 27, 1954. Betty graduated from Ecorse High School and was a homemaker. Betty loved eating bacon and eggs with friends at the local Coney Island restaurant. She also enjoyed Hot Fudge Sundae's from Uncle Rays in Fenton. Betty also loved crocheting and ceramics.
Betty is survived by her son, Robert "Bobby" Grant and daughter, Charlene Matthews; her grandsons, Bobby and Andrew Matthews; her dear sister-in-law, Cindy Pongracz; and her dear friends, Sue and Bill McCarthy.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vern E. Grant who passed away on June 1, 1989; and brothers, James. Julius, and Gary, and Ronald Pongracz; and her sister, Barbara Peterson. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
