Elzie Bruce Buckley, age 70, of Ecorse, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025. Born on February 16, 1955, to Arthur and Doris (Hardemon) Buckley.
A proud graduate of Ecorse High School, Elzie dedicated much of his life to serving others. He worked diligently as a janitor at Ecorse High School, a role he cherished, before retiring and fully embracing his passion as the neighborhood mechanic. Above all, Elzie's family was his greatest joy. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather, who always put his loved ones first. His kindness, work ethic, and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His passing was preceded by that of his parents: Arthur Buckley and Doris Young; siblings: Arthur Buckley Jr., Arnette Buckley, Chris Buckley, and Elvercelle Buckley.
Elzie is survived by his children: Daron Moore, Aaron (Tracy) Moore and Patrice (Darrell Jr.) Buckley; grandchildren: Hope and Destiny Leonard, Zachary Kuhn, K'Tryce and K'nyia Watson, Kayden and Kassidy McCleskey; great-grandchildren: Har'lei, Hayden and Harmoni Leonard, Demeir and Damoni Leonard, and Donavan Williams, Jr.; and his siblings: Cheryl Moore, Erik Moore, Clinton Buckley, and Michael Buckley.
