Barbara A. Beversdorf

Barbara A. Beversdorf, age 86, of Sun Prairie formerly of Shawano, passed away on Thursday July 24, 2025, in Madison. Barbara was born on June 30, 1939, in Shawano, to the late Everett and Kathryn (Wilde) Fredenberg. She graduated from Shawano High School with the class of 1957. On June 29, 1968, Barbara was united in marriage to Daniel Beversdorf at the Presbyterian Church in Shawano. The couple spent a wonderful 28 years together before Daniel's passing in 1996. Barbara thoroughly enjoyed the 12 years she worked at Cantwell-Peterson Clinic in Shawano. She loved to laugh and have fun. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who would do anything for her family and will be deeply missed.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Daniel Beversdorf and Steve (Jessica) Beversdorf; grandchildren, Alex, Kate and William; sisters, Susan (Ted) DuFour and Sally (Bill) Loppnow. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; parents, Everett and Kathryn; parents-in-law, Grover and Eleanor Beversdorf; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ione and Leonard Schultz, Evelyn and Orie Meyer, Ruth and Ted Meidam, Margaret and Frank Norris, Lorraine and James Brunner, Doris and Dan Reinheimer and Barbara and James Schroeder.

A funeral service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 am on Friday August 1, 2025, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
