Paul Beversdorf Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Behr's Funeral Home on Feb. 15, 2026.
Paul G. Beversdorf, age 84, of Dubuque, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at home. To celebrate Paul's life, family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m., on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the funeral home, with Deacon David Roth officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Paul was born on November 14, 1941, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Sylvester and Genevieve (Lightfoot) Beversdorf.

Paul was a hard worker and was employed with Oeth Construction building beautiful homes for 19 years. He also cut trees for Terry Lyons and gathered reclaimed building materials for Dennis Sharkey. Paul truly was a jack of all trades, and if there was money to be made, Paul would find a way to make it. He married Frances E. Price on December 18, 1968, in Galena, Illinois. They had a wonderful family together and celebrated 23 years of marriage before she sadly passed away in 1991. Paul was a long time member of St. Patrick's Church in Dubuque. In his free time he enjoyed working on his antique cars and playing bingo. Paul also loved going out to eat with his family. Banana Cream pie was his favorite dessert. Paul will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Paul Beversdorf was a good friend of mine.We were cutting pulpwood a short time, later clearing brush for the power company back in early 1960's.Not much going on otherwise in Dubuque.I left Dubuque in the fall of 1962 to be with my 3 brothers in California. I did call him when I heard that he lost his wife, Francis Price Beversdorf to try to comfort him. He was always trying to get to CA to see me when he was driving a truck across country but it never worked out.See you later in heaven Paul'
