Barbara Lou Boney

Barbara Lou Boney, 84, passed away Monday March 6, 2023 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. She was the former Barbara Lou Scott, born in New Albany to the late Clara and Jasper Gilbert Scott. Barbara was a member of the Electa Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Frank Loop Sheriff's Association, and was the Lead Security Officer for Network Training. She was a choir director, a retired Security Officer from Caesar's and Horseshoe Casino, and she attended Charlestown Road Baptist Church. Miss Barbara loved to tell jokes, and not all of her jokes were PG-13. Besides her parents: she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles J. Boney and her sister: Thelma Jones.
Survivors include: her caregiver: Christin "Chrissy" Paul(Dan), her friends: Carolyn Faith(Pastor Steve), Don Pinto an Delbert Riley, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held at 1 PM Friday March 10, 2023 at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes(1119 E. Market St.) with burial in Westhaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM – 1 PM Friday before the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Homeless Shelter.
