Barbara J. Bongert

Barbara J. Bongert age 73, of Oshkosh, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Barb was born November 29, 1948 daughter of the late Almond and Dorothy (Fritz) Beebe. She married Thomas Bongert on June 6, 1970. Barb's most rewarding job was being a mother. She also enjoyed helping Tom on their farm in the Town of Vinland. Barb was very outgoing and loved any time spent with family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing and crochet'. Barb and Tom were devoted members of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Neenah. Barb's husband Tom of 52 years sadly passed away unexpectedly two days before her death on June 19, 2022. She is survived by her children, Dan Bongert, Matt (Stephanie) Bongert, Kathy (Arthur) Granberry and Allen (Lori) Bongert. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jackson, Lucille, and Dorothy Bongert; Arthur Jr., Aaliyah, Aaron and Amariyion Granberry and Gabriella and Blake Bongert and her brother, Robert (Marcia) Beebe, and their children. She is further survived by Tom's siblings, Frank (Mary) Bongert, Suzy (Robert) Pickart, Sister Monica Rose Bongert and Chuck (Sue) Bongert and many nieces and nephews. Barb was preceded in death by an infant brother, David.
Combined Mass of Christian Burial for Barb and Tom will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh. A memorial is being established for St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
