Thomas G. Bongert

Thomas G. Bongert age 78, of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Tom was born in Oshkosh on June 29, 1943, son of the late Frank and Mary (Wallace) Bongert. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1961 and married Barbara Beebe on June 6, 1970. Tom was an airplane fabricator and mechanic for many years with Kimberly-Clark Aviation, which is now known as Gulfstream. He also enjoyed farming in the Town of Vinland, raising cows, pigs and many crops. At the time of his death, Tom was survived by his wife Barbara of 52 years. Barb sadly passed away two days later on June 21, 2022. Tom is survived by his children, Dan Bongert, Matt (Stephanie) Bongert, Kathy (Arthur) Granberry and Allen (Lori) Bongert. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jackson, Lucille, and Dorothy Bongert; Arthur Jr., Aaliyah, Aaron and Amariyion Granberry and Gabriella and Blake Bongert; his siblings, Frank (Mary) Bongert, Suzy (Robert) Pickert, Sister Monica Rose Bongert and Chuck (Sue) Bongert. He is further survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert (Marcia) Beebe and many nieces and nephews.
Combined funeral services for Tom and Barb will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.
