Barbara Camille Boullosa, aged 92, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Glendale, Arizona. She was born on March 23, 1932, in Syracuse, New York to the late Donald Cornelius Pauls and Harriet Genevieve Sitnik Pauls. Barbara married the love of her life, Richard Boullosa on May 30, 1964, in Auburn, NY. A graduate of both Eastwood High School and Central City Business Institute in Syracuse, NY, Barbara worked at Carrier Corporation for 15 years finishing as executive secretary for the president of the Corporation, before leaving to raise her sons Carl & Christopher. She assisted as a room mother at school, as a cub scout den mother and volunteered at the middle school. She returned to work as a secretary and admin for Hunter & Hartnett law firm, Massachusetts Mutual, Northeast distributors, and executive assistant for Robert Tice. Barbara loved to watch Diamondbacks baseball, Suns basketball, and Cardinals football games with Richard, swim in the pool, visit with friends, a good gin martini with a twist of lemon, boating on the Seneca River, Saturday morning breakfast with the indomitable breakfast club, as well as reading and crossword puzzles. A devout Catholic, Barbara was a member of the Ladies of the Mystical Rose and a past Liturgical Minister at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Glendale Arizona. She devoted many hours assisting her dear husband Richard with Knights of Columbus activities and charities. Barbara and Richard both volunteered at St. Mary's Food Bank and the Society of St. Vincent De Paul food pantry preparing and delivering food boxes for over 16 years. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Harriet Pauls; sister, Geraldine Voda; and niece, Christine (Voda) Nash. She leaves behind by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard Boullosa; Son, Carl (Gloria) Boullosa; Son, Christopher Boullosa; grandchildren, Jasmine King of New York and Richard Boullosa of Syracuse, NY; great grandchildren, Aiyanna Peters, Ruby Irene Boullosa and Avani King all of New York State, nieces Brenda Gomez and Karen Voda, nephews John Mark (Kathy) Boullosa, James (Laurel) Boullosa and Jeff (Lisa) Boullosa as well as many cousins & dear friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Horizon Post Acute and rehabilitation center. A funeral mass will commence at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at St. Helen Catholic Church in Glendale, Arizona followed by a reception in the parish center. A grave side service will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's memory to The Society of St. Vincent De Paul, c/o St. Helen Catholic Church, 5510 W Cholla St, Glendale, AZ 85304.
