Barbara Branson (Red), 74 of Jay, Florida passed away on Tuseday, November 11, 2025 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. She was born in Century, Florida on March 5, 1951 and was a homemaker. She resided on Branson Hill over one half of her life. In Barbara's younger years she played basketball and softball. The rest of her years she was a loving Mom, Grandma, Aunt, and was a mom to every kid that walked through her front door. She loved going to the creeks and watching all her kids play and going fishing.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Laverne Walters and Danny Boutwell; two brothers, Danny and Wayne Boutwell; her husband of 60 years, John Branson Sr; one great niece, Whitleigh Pacheco.
She is survived by her sons; Danny (Chris) Branson of Brewton and John Branson Jr of Jay; two daughters, Betty (Jeffery) Kiser of Brewton and Michelle (Roy) Johnson of Jay; a brother, Steve (Darlene) Boutwell of Huffman, Texas; sister, Janice Donnelley of Highlands, Texas; grandchildren, Dorrel and Nicholas Glover, Shayah Fuston, Roxanne Branson, Brianna Daines, Caitlin Branson, Dylan Buck Branson, Valerio Pacheco, Janna Johnson, Riley Johnson. Great grandchildren; Bentley, Bailey, Hunter, and Kenslee Glover; Landon Bondurant, Grady and Eden Glover, Bryson Tidwell, Dimitri and Avery Dubose, Carson and Ethan Redmond, Annaleigh Branson, Mason, Tanner, and Jace Looper, Destiny, John Luke, and Ivyrae Daines, Martin, Calsen Todd, Rowen, Rossten, Raelyn Johnson, Kyree, and Cali Daines.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Jay Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will follow at Cora Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darrel Glover, Buck Branson, Collin Smith, Hunter Glover, Zach Davis, and Riley Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Grady Glover, Bryson Tidwell, Dimitri Dubose, martin Todd, and Avery Dubose.
