Barbara Jean Brantmeier, 69, of Denmark, passed away with her husband William by her side. She was born in Two Rivers on August 13, 1953 to Robert and Muriel (Johnson) Heimer. She graduated from Denmark High School where she met her future husband William Brantmeier. They married on October 21, 1972, and together they shared 50 years of marriage. Barb had a passion for children, besides raising her family, she cared for generations of children at her in-home daycare for 40 years. Barb enjoyed baking, had a knack for gardening, and loved sitting around the campfire with her husband Bill at their camper in Gresham. Barb "Camping Mom" Brantmeier will be fondly remembered and missed by her camping family.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Mark (Tammy) Brantmeier, Michelle (Kelly) Malach, Matthew (Faith) Brantmeier; grandchildren, Riley (Charles) Brantmeier, Leah (Ebyn) Brantmeier, Alex Drevs, Andrew (Jessica) Drevs, Austin (Lexi) Drevs, Kyle (Rachel) Malach, Kristen (Jordan) Malach, Jimmy Edlebeck, Sonya Weidman, TJ (Lindsey) Weidman; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Damon, and Bellamy. She is further survived by her siblings, Connie (Joe) Kramer, Debbie (Steve) Gantz, Rick (Kate) Kittell, Dennis (Sheri) Kittell, and Dean Kittell; brothers-in-law, Pat (Barb) Brantmeier, Ray (Sandy) Brantmeier, Tom Bosetski; sisters-in-law, Rita Brantmeier, Ev VanDeurzen, Ann Brantmeier, Mae (Ed) Enz, and Rose (Dan) Rosik along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents and step-father, Carlton Kittell, Barb was preceded in death by Bill's parents Leo and Delphine Brantmeier, granddaughter, Ariel Drevs; sister, Cindy Bosetski; brothers-in-law, Bernard Brantmeier, Jerry Brantmeier; and sister-in-law, Kari Kittell.
Family and friends may visit at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 435 Wisconsin Ave, Denmark, on Saturday, February 25, from 9:00am until 12:15pm. A memorial service will follow at 12:30pm with Rev. Andy Zoerb officiating.
The family would like to acknowledge Aurora oncology, hospice, and nursing staff for their exceptional care of Barb.
