Barbara Jane Bublitz

Barbara Jane Bublitz, age 90, of Lake Nebagamon, WI, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024 at Aspen Acres Assisted Living in Hayward, WI. She was born on May 9, 1933 in Mt. Horeb, WI, the daughter of Arthur Norman and Alvina Gladys (Lien) Krohn.
Barbara graduated with honors from East High School in Madison, WI. She started working as a secretary for the Wisconsin DNR, where she met her future husband, Donald G. "Don" Bublitz. She and Don were united in marriage on December 2, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. Barbara served as treasurer for the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon for several years. Barbara was a true bookworm, as she would read any chance she could. She also was a talented seamstress, enjoying both sewing and knitting and belonged to the knitting club at church.
Barbara was a kind and caring woman who loved tending to her family and many flower and vegetable gardens. She and Don also loved animals and enjoyed taking long walks to make sure to get them the right exercise.
She is survived by her children, Brett Bublitz of Burnsville, MN and Brenda Bublitz of Hayward, WI; her grandchildren, Jacob (Arica) Myer and Jennifer (Jeffrey) Bosworth; her great-grandchildren, Breanna, Brady, Cameron, Aliah and Annie; and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Bublitz and her loving dog, Bessie the Beagle.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon, where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service. Interment will follow in Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.
