Barbara Lucille Buford, age 76, gained her wings June 14, 2025, in Muskegon, MI. Bobbi was born in Melsungen, Germany March 30, 1949, to Erika and Stanley Bojna. She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Dawn Kelley and Kristen Mennell, 5 grandsons; Brennan, Devon, Tyler, Ryan, and Keith, 2 granddaughters; Jordan and Jessica, 3 sisters; Beverly, Bonnie, and Bridget. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Ray L Buford.
Bobbi immigrated to the United States from Germany at age 4 with her parents, Erika and Stanley. She was raised in Bridgeport, CT, through 11th grade. After relocating to California and graduating High School at Eisenhower High School, she proudly joined the military. Bobbi was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Okinawa, Japan. She worked in Healthcare for over 40 years as a medical coder/billings specialist and retired among many friends from Grand Rapids Women's Health Care. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and being with her beloved dogs, Chip and Greta. Known as "Oma" by her cherished grandchildren, she will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, and was often referred to as the "sweetest" woman you would meet. Raised Catholic, Bobbi was a true Christian and a heartfelt believer in her Lord Jesus, who she now walks beside.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a future time. In Lieu of flowers, Bobbi would appreciate donations to The Wounded Warrior Project, or Big Lake Animal Shelter, Muskegon, MI.
