Barbara Lynn Colpaert

Barbara Lynn Colpaert, 80, of Granger, IN, passed away at 10:18 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at North Woods Village in Mishawaka, IN.
She was born on December 14, 1942 to the late Rudolph, Sr. and Juliann (Nafrady) Koloszar in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. Along with her parents; Barbara was preceded in death by a brother, Rudolph Koloszar, Jr.
Barbara graduated in 1960 from St. Joseph High School in South Bend.
On September 11, 1971, as Barbara Lynn Koloszar, she married James John Colpaert at Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church in South Bend, IN.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Jim Colpaert of Granger, IN; one daughter, Lori Colpaert of Indianapolis, IN; one son, Mark (Christie) Colpaert of Granger, IN; a granddaughter, Addisyn Colpaert; and her sister, Jule Koloszar of Mishawaka, IN.
Barbara was a long-time member of Corpus Christi Parish. She was an avid golfer and loved to bowl.
A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2023, followed by a visitation until 6:00 p.m. at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2023 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with Rev. Daryl Rybicki officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
Barbara's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the caregivers at both North Woods Village and the Center for Hospice Care, for the excellent care which they provided for Barbara.
