Barbara Layne Cover

Mrs. Barbara Layne Cover, 89, of Locust Grove passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Mrs. Cover was born on August 30, 1935, in Claysville, KY. She was the daughter of the late Catherwood and Ruth Lena Watson Beckett. She loved to work in her flowers, play golf, travel to the beach, loved being with her family and friends, and loved to play cards and games with her game club. Her favorite was Spades. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon Samuel Cover Jr; and son, Steve Beckett. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Scott Yonek and Terri and Mike Bolden; grandchildren, Tony Born, Matthew and Samatha Born, Andrew and Brooke Bolden, Beth Bolden, Kayla Day, Sara and Darrell Doss, Benjamin and Casey Yonek, Michael and Jamie Conatser; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Debbie Beckett, Jim and Joyce Beckett. Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Layne Cover will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westwood Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, Ga. 30224 is in charge of arrangements.
