Charles Anthony "Tony" Shipp

Charles Anthony "Tony" Shipp, 54, of Chula, GA, died Monday, December 1, 2025, at his sister's home.

Born in West Helena, AR, September 4, 1971, he was a son of the late Charles Hansford Shipp and Charlene Whitted Neill. He was formerly employed with Parker Young Construction Company for five years and had been a carpenter most of his life. He and his brother, Michael were the biggest set of twins born in Phillips County, AR, and he always reminded his brother that he was the oldest twin, having been born three minutes earlier. Mr. Shipp loved to play guitar.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Shipp was preceded in death by siblings, Angela Watkins and Joey Degunion and his wife Rhonda.

Survivors include siblings, Timmy Whitted and wife Carol of Jonesboro, Lanny Martin of Mariana, AK, Lisa Shipp Moore and husband James of Chula, twin brother, Michael Shipp and wife Nicole of Griffin and Randall Shipp of Riverdale; and stepfather, Freddie Neil of Jackson. Several aunts, uncles and cousins, along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Charles Anthony "Tony" Shipp will be conducted Friday, December 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend David O'Steen officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 12 Noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
