Barbara Ann Doty, known affectionately as Barb, passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 69. She was born on January 24, 1954, in Cleburne, Texas, to Hoyt E. Baldwin and Bessie Elizabeth (Bunch) Baldwin. Although her time on Earth has come to an end, her vibrant spirit and remarkable legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Barb led a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. While she may not have excelled in traditional homemaking tasks like cooking and cleaning, she had a gift for creating joyous memories and bringing people together. Her home was always open to friends and family who gathered around the poolside or enjoyed the warmth of her company during vibrant parties that she hosted. Barb was the straw that stirred everyone's drink, infusing every moment with infectious energy.

Her sons held a special place in Barb's heart, and she dedicated herself to supporting them in their various games and events. She was their biggest cheerleader, attending each competition with pride beaming from her eyes. Her unwavering support nurtured the bonds they shared as a family.

She married her high school sweetheart and the love her life, David Glenn Doty in June 18, 1971. Together they started their life.  She was an incredibly talented artist since 1983 when she opened the local Cleburne Ceramics shop, Barb found immense joy in working with clay. She skillfully transformed slip into molds before painting meticulously on greenware or firing it to achieve exquisite results. In addition to running her shop, she generously shared her knowledge by teaching local classes until 1987.

Barb's love for animals was boundless, particularly for dogs who held a special place in her heart. Ragnar, Remy, Loki, and Chupacabra brought immeasurable joy and companionship into her life.

Spunky, larger than life, and always the life of the party, Barb lived life on her own terms. Her joyful spirit was infectious, drawing people towards her magnetic personality. She possessed a servant's heart, always giving selflessly to others. Crossing paths with Barb meant experiencing unwavering friendship and loyalty. She had an unapologetically honest nature, never shying away from speaking her mind or letting others know where they stood in her eyes.

Barb is preceded in death by her loving parents and one brother, Robert Earl Baldwin. She leaves behind a devastated but grateful family, including her devoted husband of 52 years. Together they weathered life's storms and created a bond that will endure beyond her physical absence. Barb is survived by her three beloved sons - David Brent Doty (Celeste), Michael Bryan Doty (Hannah), and Robert Blake Doty (Allison Crowell). Her impact on future generations also lives on through her three cherished grandchildren - David Gunner Doty, Isaac Cash Doty, and Mason Avery Doty.

A Memorial Gathering to honor Barb's extraordinary life will take place on August 25th, 2023 at Young's Daughters Funeral Home & Bereavement Center in Temple, Texas. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Barb's legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched throughout her journey. In keeping up with the latest trends, fashion was a passion that she pursued with fervor. But above all else, she embraced living life to the fullest. Her indomitable spirit continues to inspire us all to seize every moment, celebrate life, and spread joy.

As we bid farewell to Barb, let us remember her infectious laughter, her unwavering love, and the way she painted the canvas of life with vibrant hues. May her memory be a constant reminder to live each day with passion and to always cherish the moments shared with loved ones. Rest in eternal peace, dear Barb.
