MILLERSBURG - Barbara B. Douty, 91, of Millersburg died January 27, 2026, at Transitions Healthcare Allen's Cove, Duncannon.

She was born on August 31, 1934 in Lykens, PA the daughter of the late John Stephen Begani and Magdelene (Krepich) Begani.

Barbara was married to the late Robert L. Douty for 60 years.

Barbara was a graduate of Lykens High School and spent her working years at the Muskin shoe factory until its closing.

Barbara was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the mission committee, and led the preparation for funeral luncheons and the Nearly-New shop for many years. She was also well known as the 'head mixer' for the church's egg making project.

She enjoyed playing cards and games with her grandchildren, and will be remembered for being an excellent cook. She remarked that her favorite room in the house was the kitchen.

She is survived by her daughter Jane Hepner, son Stephen Douty and his wife Linda, grandchildren Tiffany Caudle (Jeff), Brian Hepner (Angela), Danielle Marshall, and Elizabeth Maser (Zack), and great grandchildren Jordan Sass, Carter Sass, Alivya Hepner, Evan Caudle, Nolan Hepner, Annabel Maser, and Alana Maser. She is also survived by a sister Frances Osman, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers John Begani and James Spangler, sisters Marie Messner and Teresa Messner, as well as son-in-law Ronald Hepner.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 10-11:00 AM at Grace U.M. Church, Millersburg. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.

The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Grace U.M. Church, 982 Medical Rd, Millersburg, PA 17061.
