Barbara Ann Dunigan

Barbara Ann (Wells) Dunigan, age 91, of Spencer, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Owen Valley Health & Rehab Center. She was born in Coal City, Indiana, on September 27, 1934, to Wilson and Lucille (Warner) Wells.
Barbara graduated from Coal City High School and married Dwight Dunigan in 1952. She retired from the Spencer-Owen Community Schools, where she worked as a bookkeeper for 39 years. Barbara enjoyed birdwatching and taking road trips, always delighting in the scenery. She was a faithful member of the Spencer First Christian Church.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Cheryl) Dunigan and Robin (Mark) Franklin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty McQueary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dwight; a grandson; and her siblings, Jim Wells and Lyle Wells.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer.
