Born on October 30th, 1940 in Hazelton Pennsylvania, Mary was the beloved daughter of George and Helen Pshar. In 1961, Mary married the love of her life, Jospeph Dunigan of Trenton New Jersey. Together, they shared 64 remarkable years of partnership, building a family rooted in kindness and support. Mary was a devoted sister to George, Rosemary, and Geri, and a loving Mother to Mary, Joseph (Candi), Denise (Will), and Julie.
Mary's life was defined for her deep compassion and unwavering dedication to caring for others. After graduating from Helena Fuld Nursing School in Trenton New Jersey, she devoted 35 years of her career to being a Pediatric Registered Nurse, touching countless lives with her gentle heart and expert care. Mary ended her nursing career at Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder Colorado.
Mary's legacy continues through her five Grandchildren; Nicole Elandt (Matt), Christopher Munger, Michael Dunigan (Donna), Brendan Dunigan (deceased) Brady Dunigan, and three Great-Grandchildren; Eva and Avery Elandt, and Alice Munger, who will forever cherish memories of her warmth, wisdom, and playful spirit.
She was known for her creative talents in crafting, her adventurous love of traveling, her enthusiasm for sports, and her active participation in her local book club where she formed lasting friendships.
Mary's gentle presence, generous spirit, and zest for life enriched the lives of all who knew her. her influence will be fueled for generations, and her memory will be treasured always.
The family will honor Mary's life with a celebration of life ceremony at Rundus Funeral Home, on October 13th, at 2:00 PM, and then she will be buried at the family plot in Trenton New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donation may be. made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, reflecting Mary's lifelong commitment to caring for children.
Mary Louise Dunigan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose hearts were touched.
