Barbara Farrington of Holland, PA, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at St. Mary Medical Center on Friday, January 24, 2025. She was 79 years of age.
She was the beloved wife of 30 years to Ed Farrington.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Miriam A. Owens McAnany.
In addition to her husband Ed, Barbara is survived by her loving children Carolyn Tantillo and her husband Peter of Holland, PA; David A. Wallace and his wife Anna Vu-Wallace of Austin, TX; Brian J. Wallace and his wife Renae of Holland, PA, her former daughter-in-law Patti Wallace of Berwick, PA; and her stepsons Christopher Farrington of Philadelphia; and Brian Michael Farrington and his wife Keli, of
Richboro, PA. She is also survived by her sister, Arlene Depman, cousins, Jill Bagnell and her husband, Bill, and Janice Brownell, and her husband, Al, along with numerous nephews and nieces.
Barbara was a loving grandmother to sixteen adoring grandchildren, Kevin Tantillo and his fiancé, Emily Lima of Holland, PA; Matthew Tantillo and his wife, Christina, of Yardley, PA; Ryan Tantillo, Steven Tantillo, and Erika Tantillo of Holland, PA; Erin Wallace and her husband, Andy, of Silt, CO; Shannon Wallace of Fayetteville, AK; Emily Field and John Field of Austin, TX, Aiden Wallace and Peyton Wallace of Holland, PA; Brianna Farrington, Ryan Farrington, and Hannah Farrington of Philadelphia, and Ethan Farrington and Emma Farrington of
Richboro, PA. Barbara was eagerly anticipating the birth of her first great-grandchild.
Barbara was devoted to her four-legged "child", Mollie, a precious Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who brought love and joy to both her and Ed. Mollie followed in paw prints of Riley who came before her.
Spending time with her family and her grandchildren was her utmost joy, whether it was gathering around the dinner table, enjoying quiet moments at home or embarking on family outings and trips, she found her greatest happiness in the company of those who she loved the most! She cherished the close-knit bond she shared with her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family and her devotion to them was felt by all who had the privilege of being part of her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to share in those precious moments with her. She will be deeply missed.
Barbara and Ed shared a lifelong passion for travel and their years together were marked with many trips.
Barbara's family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow at Union Cemetery in
Richboro, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.
