Walter C. Farrington Jr., 77, died at his home in Nottingham, NH on August 22, 2025. He was born on May 15, 1948 in Weymouth, MA, the son of the late Walter C. Farrington Sr., and Marilyn (Thurlow) Farrington.

A fulltime resident of Nottingham for the last 5 years, Walter grew up in Braintree, MA and formerly resided in Nashua and Merrimack, NH. He was a graduate of Braintree High School and served honorably in the United States Coast Guard from May 25, 1970 to May 24, 1974.

An avid skier, Walter worked for many years as a certified ski instructor at Nashoba Valley Ski Area. He was also employed for many years as a foreman for Nightingale Roofing Company in Southern NH. He also volunteered as a tennis instructor for the Merrimack YMCA. He was past president of the New England Paralyzed Veterans Association (NEPVA), and was an amateur tournament winning bowler.

In addition to his parents, He was predeceased by his son Walter C. Farrington III. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia J. (Van Wormer) Farrington of Nottingham, NH; his daughter-in-law Jessica Farrington of Ruskin FL; his four grandchildren, Wyatt, Walter, Weston, and Wilder; and his bonus son, Francis Despres of New Boston, NH.
