Barbara Flanagan Obituary
A native of San Francisco, CA, Mrs. Flanagan had resided in Henderson County since 1976. She retired as a bookkeeper from various industries. She was the daughter of the late Louis Francis and Marion Ferguson Fischer, and the widow of Gene Flanagan, who passed away in 2010. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Flanagan, and a brother, John Fischer.
Surviving are her children: Patrick Flanagan and wife Jennifer of Apex, NC, Denise Flanagan-Spargo of Hendersonville, and Casey Flanagan of Hendersonville; grandchildren: Avery, Virginia, Zachary, Caroline, and Bradley; sister, Jean Wingate; sisters-in-law: Kathy Baluha, Sheila Baker, and Rita Fischer; and several nieces and nephews.
Per Mrs. Flanagan's wishes, no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Flanagan's name to the Veteran's Healing Farm, 38 Yale Road, Hendersonville, NC 28739, or visit their website at www.veteranshealingfarm.org.

Dear Denise, Pat and Casey. I am so very sorry for your great loss. I loved your Mom, loved our talks and am so blessed to have gotten to grow up knowing her. I have so many great memories! She will be missed. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and lifted in prayer.
