Barbara Tranchant Gauidn

Barbara Tranchant Gaudin, age 83, gained her angel wings on December 29 , 2023. She was born in New Orleans LA. where she resided most of her life before moving to the Northshore, specifically Covington, 18 yrs ago, after Hurricane Katrina.

Barbara was married to the love of her life, Joseph (“Joe”, “Errol”) Errol Gaudin Sr. In January, they would have been married 64 yrs. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Leo Tranchant Sr and Alma Rupert. Her brothers, George A Tranchant, William “Billy” Tranchant, Richard Tranchant and Charles “Butch” Tranchant. Her sisters, Mildred “Millie” Tranchant Swift (William “Bill”), her sisters-in-law, Gloria Tranchant and Beverly M Tranchant, her brother-in-law, Frank H Duckworth Sr, her niece, Debra Tranchant Ledet, and her nephews, William “Billy” Swift, Richard “Ricky” Tranchant and Michael “Big Mike” Luffy Sr.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Joseph (“Joe”, “Errol”) Gaudin Sr, her children, Joseph Errol Gaudin Jr (Dawn), Jody G Ravesies (Kenneth), Donna G. Lucus (William) and Mary A Lanne’ (Lubin Christopher), her only living sibling, Robert Tranchant and sister-in-law, Solita Tranchant, grandchildren, Darrell L Lucus Jr, Shelby L Carroll (Jacob), Lauren E Lanne’, Sydney R Hall (Jordan), Annemarie G Pennington (Tyler), Christal T Ravesies and Alyssa A Lanne’ (Kize), Anne S Rome (Aaron), Sarah C Seither (Jake), William M Seither and Warren M Seither (Mercedes), George Dickinson (Victoria), Dylan Dickinson, great-grandchildren, Timothy, Lucas, Annabellah, Abigail, Jacilynn, Michael, Zaya, Breelan, Eden, Emma, Logan, Aubrey, Colt, Ren and Hunter, nieces and nephews, Robert Tranchant III (Rianna), Charles “Ritchie” Swift (Charlene), Charles “Chuck” Tranchant, Leo Tranchant, Janet Tranchant Scardino (Mark) Wilton Ledet, Sharon Luffey, Patricia D Hauschild, Linda D Yokum (Rob), Major Frank H Duckworth Jr, USMC Ret (Karen), Mark H Duckworth (Hollie), and numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life and Reading of the Gospel will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 12:00 – 4:00PM @ 15135 Lydia Normand Dr, Covington LA 70435.
