Barbara L. Graf

Wadsworth -- Barbara L. Graf, age 71, of Wadsworth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, May 18, 2022, at the Hospice Care Center in Copley, surrounded by her family.
Barb was born on January 2, 1951, in Wadsworth, Ohio, to the late Robert and Elda (Bauman) Gasser and graduated from Norwayne High School with the class of 1969. She married David E. Graf on October 22, 1972 in Rittman, Ohio, and they have been happily married for almost 50 years.
She worked as a medical secretary and assistant for Dr. Roland Burelli in Rittman for 23 years, retiring in 1992.
Barb was a member of the Akron Apostolic Christian Church. Taking care of children, especially babies, was a passion for Barb. She taught Sunday School at the church for years, and many of the children growing up in the church referred to her and Dave as "Grandma and Grandpa". She enjoyed watching birds from her front window at the house. She also enjoyed cross-stitching and crocheting. More than any hobby, she enjoyed spending time with her husband. They took part in many trips together, often visiting churches in Eastern Europe. She also enjoyed going with him on fishing charters up to Lake Erie.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three brothers, Jerry (Ellen) Gasser of Sterling, Jeff (Deb) Gasser of Sterling, and Neil (Donna) Gasser of Sterling; sister, Beverly (Randy) Moore of Rittman; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother James Gasser.
Friends may call from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Akron Apostolic Fellowship Center, 2360 S. Medina Line Rd., Wadsworth, or from 9:30-10:15am on Saturday morning at the church.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, at Akron Apostolic Christian Church, 2360 S. Medina Line Rd., Wadsworth, with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will take place at the Akron Apostolic Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home, 10680 Steiner Rd., Rittman, OH 44270.
