Barbara L. Gugger

Barbara Gugger of Wilmington, MA, formerly of Reading and Plymouth, passed away on August 29, 2023 at the age of 94. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent D. Gugger and the loving mother of Paula (Gugger) Curren and her husband Deacon Michael of Reading, Peter Gugger and his wife Nancy of Tewksbury, Daniel Gugger and his wife Karen of Plymouth, Michael Gugger of Reading, Martha (Gugger) Osberg and her husband Paul of Marstons Mills, Christopher Gugger and his wife Sloane of Andover, and Ann Gugger and her husband Parke Burgess of Tacoma WA. She was cherished by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Barbara was born in Winchester, MA to the late Dr. Clement and Eleanor (Brooks) Lynch of Winchester. She was the sister of the late Dr. Brock Lynch of Leeds and the late Robert Lynch of Scottsdale, AZ. She graduated from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana. A stay at home mother with a full-time job raising seven children, Barbara also worked as a medical secretary. She was an avid reader, an artist, and a talented crafter. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved camping with Vince and family throughout the US.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday September 8, 2023, 10:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Church, 803 State Rd. Plymouth, MA. Due to time constraints at the cemetery, the family regrets that there will not be a reception offered after the funeral Mass. However, the family will be present 30 minutes prior to the Mass to greet guests at the church. Guests are also welcome to join the family at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA for the interment ceremony which will take place at 12:30 PM.
