Robert Gugger Obituary
Robert A. Gugger, of Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 5, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 85.
Robert's life was a testament to the enduring power of love. He and his beloved wife Marilyn shared a lifetime of cherished memories, their bond a constant source of strength and joy for 63 years. This love extended to his daughters, Cheryl (Bob), Donna (Roger) and Lynn (Eric) and special family friend, David Nugent. Each of them carried a piece of his heart, as did his grandchildren: Rob (Jen), Amber (Austin), James, Morgan (Brandon), Sean and Carley, great grandchildren: Nolan, William, Noah and Zoey and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Born in Philadelphia to Adolph and Mary Gugger, Robert's childhood was spent in Ridgetown, Ontario, Canada. Returning to Philadelphia as a teenager, he met the love of his life, Marilyn O'Connor. Their love story flourished, paving the way for the creation of a beautiful family and a thriving business. In 1969, he established Capitol Bindery in Trenton, NJ, and retired in 2012.
Family was the cornerstone of Robert's life. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, whether it was traveling the world, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles together, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home. Robert enjoyed cooking, golfing, fishing and crabbing.
Robert's kindness and generosity extended beyond his immediate family and friends. He had a deep love for animals, taking daily trips to feed feral cats of Trenton, NJ.
Robert A. Gugger leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home, Richboro.
