Barbara D. Guse, age 78, 0f Sheboygan, passed away at Sheboygan Health Services on December 10, 2024.
She was born on April 21, 1946, in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of the late Elmer and Laona (Landwehr)
Lorens. Barb attended Kohler grade schools and was a proud graduate of Kohler High School, Class of 1964. She cherished all of the memories and friendships she made while in high school and loved keeping in touch with everyone, so much so that she spent many hours planning many high school reunions.
Following high school, Barb attended the Institute of Med Tech and graduated as a Lab Technician.
Barb worked at St. Nicholas Hospital, Dr. Gore's office, and the Sheboygan Clinic until her retirement.
On October 19, 1968, she married Donald Guse at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sheboygan Falls. Barb cherished her family, especially her great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also blessed to have special neighbors, and all of the friends they made over the years at their cabin on Wilke Lake and their winter home in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
She is survived by: Her husband, Don; Nieces: Sara (Andy) Jaap of Sheboygan Falls, Christine (Mark) Hicks of Sheboygan Falls, and Wendy Hilbelink of Plymouth; Three sisters-in-law: Teresa Lorens of Plymouth, Betty (Dale) Dulmes of Oostburg, and Janet Weinaug of Sheboygan; Brother-in-law: Robert (Linda) Guse of Sheboygan Falls; As well as other relatives and friends.
Barb was preceded in death by: Brother: Elmer Keith Lorens; Nephew, Jeffrey Lorens; Brothers-in-law: Herb Weinaug, Bill (Carol) Guse, and Wally Guse; and Wendy's husband, Stuart Hilbelink.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday (December 16, 2024) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 10:00am-12:00pm, with a prayer service to follow at 12:00pm. Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Barb's name.
The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of Vitas Hospice for the extraordinary care and compassion given to Barb, and also to Community Care for their wonderful guidance and kindness.

Donny, so sorry to hear of Barbs passing. Did not learn of it until yesterday. Was thinking of some of the fun times we had 50 plus years ago. Lots of good memories snow mobiling, going up to Crivitz area, eating out etc. Take care. Judy Prange
