Barbara A. Hill

Barbara A. "Cindy" Hill, 73, of Daisytown, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born October 25, 1952, in Monongahela, a daughter of the late William and Helen Orris Blizman. Cindy graduated from the California Area High School, and later graduated from cosmetology school. Barb was self employed as a beautician and held her own practice with a business partner in California for many years. Following retirement she had begun working as a paraprofessional in local area schools for several years. Cindy cherished her family and friends, especially her grandson, Carson, whom she loved to spoil. She enjoyed watching the Steelers and Pirates, and never missed watching a game. Hallmark Christmas movies were also something she enjoyed watching. She was a member of the A/C Club in Daisytown as well as the Italian Club in California, where she had many good friends. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Julia Basile (David) of Brownsville, and Rebecca Hill of Daisytown; her beloved grandson, Carson Basile; sister, Rose Wright (Bill) of South Park; nephew and niece, Chris Wright (Jaime) and Lindsay Wright (Matthew); great- nieces, Abby and Lucy. She also leaves behind her grandpuppy, Dexter. Preceding her in death were her husband, Leo R. Hill, who passed away September 8, 2020; and her brother, William J. Blizman. In accordance with her wishes, all funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville.
