My first memory of Aunt Barbara was that she is as beautiful as Sophia Loren. Men would travel for miles from Cincinnati and Indianapolis to woo her in the very rural Indiana town of Weisburg Indiana. I especially recall an Italian chef from Cincinnati who drove a red convertible sports car who allowed us little ones to sit in the back seat while he took her for a ride and somehow at 3 years old I knew how precious she was. Aunt Barbara was beautiful from her nose to her toes. She was intelligent and loving and exotic and right now reminds me of Elvis. They had the same upbringing and the same star over their heads. All of us nieces wanted to be the bright shining star she was. We hoped to inherit her genes and attributed our own successes to whatever we had inherited from Aunt Barbara. I still wish to become the lady I witnessed in you!
