When her father became pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Aldie, VA, she was an active member and served there until she moved to Fairfax County and attended several churches. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, grounding her in her roles as a daughter, sister, mother, and friend. After moving to Washington, D.C. she joined New Macedonia Baptist Church, Reverend Patrick Walker, pastor. In extending her profound love and devotion to her son, Dwonie Foye, whom she leaves to mourn her passing and cherish fond memories, after discovering the extent of her illnesses, she sold her beautiful home in Washington, D.C. and bought a home in Texas where she could live her final days with him.
