Barbara Sue Jonas

Barbara Sue (Goolsby) Jonas, graced the world with her presence on November 8, 1962, in Amarillo, TX, and left a legacy of love and devotion when she passed away on March 12, 2025, in Mishawaka, IN. Her life was a testament to the joy and beauty that can be found in the simple pleasures of daily existence.
Barbara was the daughter of Jack and Bertha Goolsby, who preceded her in death. She was a sister to Ann Goolsby, Roy Goolsby, and Larry Goolsby, who have also passed before her. Despite the loss of her dear grandchild Hugh, Barbara's spirit remained unbroken, and her love for her family never wavered.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Stanton and Gypsy Rose Nagy, and her grandchildren, Brook, Jax, Bella Rose, and Isaiah. Barbara's siblings, Charlotte Casas and James Goolsby, will miss her.
Barbara's zest for life was evident in her love for being outdoors, where she found peace and happiness in the embrace of nature. Her passion for music, particularly Christian, Motown and country, was a reflection of her vibrant spirit and her ability to find joy in the rhythms of life. Her priorities were her Christian faith, love for God and her church, her family, and her grandchildren stood at the center of her world.
Barbara will be cremated and there will be no services. Palmer Funeral Homes ~ Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN 46545 will be assisting the family.
