Mrs. Barbara Joan Hornsby Kaylor-Lovett, 76, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center.
She was born in Berea, Kentucky on May 29, 1948, the daughter of the late George & Virginia Tillery Hornsby. Barbara could be remembered as feisty, spunky, or even spirited, but aside from all of that, she was a loving mother and nana who looked forward to spending time with her family. Barbara loved to go shopping and looked for any excuse to dress up, and when we say dress up, we mean matching shoes, purse, and accessories! She also enjoyed crocheting and working on puzzles. Barbara was a member of the Church on the Rock.
Survivors include: her daughters, Angela Kaylor & Jennifer Osborn (Scott); two sisters, Jacqueline Hoover (Douglas), and Rita Brockman (George); three grandchildren, Miranda Osborn, Chloe Osborn, and Sophie Osborn, her faithful dog, Ozzie; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Kenneth Wayne Lovett; and two brothers, Dallas Hornsby, and George Hornsby, Jr.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Pastor Mark Sarver officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Friday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Brendon DeVasher, Josh DeVasher, Zach DeVasher, Brad Hylton and Kenten Hylton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Douglas Hoover and George Brockman.
