Barbara Johnston Lammie (Barb) passed away suddenly on January 19, 2024 in Perrysburg, Ohio. Barb was born on January 31, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio, and was adopted as an infant by Marguerite and George Johnston, who loved her unconditionally. She graduated from Maumee High School in 1968. Barb married Clyde (Corky) Grimes and they had one son, Michael. She later had another son, Joseph (Jay), and daughters, Teresa and Gigi. Barb loved her children and cherished time with her grandkids. She would often call just to chat and always ended her calls with "Love you, bye!" She was so proud of her family and loved spending time with them. Barb was passionate about sports and was a devoted fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. One of her favorite hobbies was playing cards and games with friends and family. Barb never knew a stranger and treated everyone she met with kindness and acceptance. She had many close friends over the years who will miss her dearly. She spent the last few years of her life at the Abundant Life community in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was supported and loved by the wonderful ladies in that community - and she loved them back just as much. She became a member of Grace Church in Perrysburg where she continued her journey to know the Lord.
Barb is preceded in death by her parents George and Marguerite Johnston; first husband Clyde (Corky) Grimes; second husband Joseph Stopera, Sr.; brother James Johnston; son Joseph Stopera; and lifelong friend, Judy Snyder. Surviving are her son Michael Grimes (Lori) of Senoia, Georgia; daughters Teresa Lenehan (Matthew) of Dublin, Ohio, and Gigi Gordon (Jake Reinbolt) of Pemberville Ohio; grandchildren Chloe Gordon, Olivia and Noah Grimes, Jack and Samuel Lenehan, Maximus, Alexis, and Bailey Reinbolt and great-granddaughter Winnie Tucker.
