Barbara B. Lani

Barbara was born in the late 1930s in New Jersey. She was the third of four children born to Bernice (Bunny) and Arthur and grew up in Webster Groves, Missouri. She attended the University of Miami for one year before marrying Bill Brown. The family moved to Colorado in the late 1960's where she pursued her love of the outdoors through hiking, camping, and skiing. She had an active mind and loved to read and play board and card games. She earned a bachelor's degree in CSD and master's degree in Audiology and Speech pathology from the University of Northern Colorado. She is survived by her two sons Greg and Doug and her younger sister Pam.

Barbara married Stefan Lani and the two shared a love for the outdoors through hiking, camping, and skiing. They traveled extensively via cruise liner and travel bus with their group of senior friends. She loved her senior friends' group, whether sharing trips, lunches, or working out at the gym. She made friends wherever she went.

After a wonderfully active life, Barbara succumbed to Alzheimer's disease and passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 4, 2026.
