Barbara MacTaggart

Barbara Ricker Vogt MacTaggart, 74, passed away unexpectedly at her home on February 9, 2026. Born on October 1, 1951, she was the daughter of William and Florence (Church) Vogt. She was predeceased by her beloved parents.

Barbara was an incredibly creative and artistic woman whose talents touched many lives. She had a deep love of baking and once owned a bakery where she specialized in custom cake decorating, creating beautiful and delicious works of art for special occasions. She was also an avid reader who could always be found with a book in hand and recently discovered a love for audiobooks.

Her creativity extended far beyond the kitchen. Barbara loved crocheting and was known for her impressive yarn collection. She enjoyed all types of crafts and was remarkably handy, always ready to start a new project or bring an imaginative idea to life.

Barbara had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats. She is survived by her beloved cat, Amanda, her faithful companion of more than 16 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy MacTaggart and her husband Karl Otterson, Jessica Campbell and her husband Douglas Campbell Jr.; granddaughter Sara Gamble and her husband, Brandon; her grandson, Sam Otterson; great grandson, James;her sister Wendy Folkers and her husband Rich; their children, Kerri and Steven and his wife Olivia; and their children, Gracie and Dustan.
