Barbara Ann McFarland of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born August 10, 1944, in Rapid City, South Dakota to the late Lester and Celesteral White. On March 31, 1965, she married Donnie McFarland in Denver, Colorado. Barbara was the proud mom of two boys and enjoyed having the ability to stay home with them. She filled her time with their activities and volunteering with the Salvation Army and various thrift stores and food pantries. She enjoyed doing crafts and could often be found making wreaths, baskets or crocheting for others. In 2010, Barbara and Donnie made their home in Lubbock. She was of the Catholic faith.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 60 years, Donnie; sons, Michael K. McFarland of Castro Valley, California and Nickolas E. McFarland and wife Joann of Lubbock; and one sister, Janice Roberts and husband Jack of Rapid City, South Dakota.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 28, 2025, with Rosary being cited at 1:30 pm and Mass to follow at 2:30 pm. All services will be livestreamed on Barbara’s webpage at www.combestfamilyfuneralhomes.com
