Barbara A. Burroughs-Merricle, 80, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville.
Barb was born on November 29, 1944 in Havelock, NC to the late Boss T. and Carrie Burroughs.
She was preceded in death by 8 siblings, Harold Burroughs, William Tom Burroughs, Boss Timothy BT Burroughs Jr., Herman Burroughs, Willie Burroughs, Carol Rice, Bessie Heindel, and Bobby Burroughs. She is survived by her two children, John T. Scott and Deb (Robert) Logan and three grandchildren. Kayla (Matthew) Harruff, Kristen Logan, and Ella Fischer, as well as one great grandchild, Eliza June.
Barb enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the Eagles, and dancing the night away. Her favorite meal was a trip through McDonalds for a Big Mac and a Dr. Pepper. She lived life to the fullest. She was fierce and faced her health challenges with steadfast faith. Barb always dreamed that one day she would be able to go back to the ocean again. She will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew her.
Her family will be having a small intimate gathering to celebrate Barb's life. They are asking that in lieu of flowers you may make donations to the Auglaize County Humane Society, P.O. Box 305 Wapakoneta, OH 45895. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Barb and her family.
