Barbara Nolan

Barbara Ann (McClellan) Nolan, 81, a long-time resident of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025 at Saint Anne's Hospital, Fall River. She was the wife of the late Michael Nolan for 38 years.
Born on July 28, 1944, in Taunton, MA, Barbara dedicated her life to her family and to her work in the banking industry.
Barbara was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Taunton and later graduated from Johnson and Wales. Throughout her professional career, Barbara worked diligently as a bookkeeper for several credit unions including St. Regis Credit Union, Sharon Credit Union, Swank Credit Union, and Goldmark Credit Union, from which she retired in 2010. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and sewing. She was an active volunteer for New Hope and the Attleboro Senior Center and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro. Barbara cherished her summers in Dennis Port at the family cottage.
Barbara is survived by her loving daughters, Erin Nolan of Norton, Lisa Sigman and her husband Paul of East Taunton and Amy Horridge and her husband Jason of Taunton; her two grandsons, Michael Sigman of East Taunton and William Nolan of Norton; her brother, James McClellan and his wife Rosemary of Taunton; Barbara also leaves many nieces and nephews and her loving Yorkie "Charlie".
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Janet (Lynch) McClellan.
The family would like to thank Susie Perry, Barbara's caring neighbor, and Marina Reid, a longtime family friend, for the love and support they provided to Barbara.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4 - 7 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 am at the same location. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Attleboro.
