Barbara E. J. Owens, 73, St. Marys, WV, passed away Friday, October 31, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Born in Parkersburg, WV, on June 8, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Danny and Vera J. Colvin Taylor. She was a homemaker and was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and sister. Her family was her life.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marvin L. Owens, Sr.; three children, Melissa Crawford, Marvin L. Owens, Jr. and Mark (Lori) Owens; 10 grandchildren, Lauren (Marcus), Kristen, Madelyn (Jobe), Steven (Maya), Taylor, Zach, Cora, Micole, Chelsea, and Jalen; nine great-grandchildren, and one on the way; two sisters, Sue Taylor, and Sandra "Darlene" (Tony) McClanahan; one brother, Danny W. (Pam) Taylor; two nephews, Justin (Heather) Taylor, and Shawn (Jenn) McClanahan; and one niece, Amber (Will) Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV. Burial will follow in Willow Island Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 to 2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
