Barbara Jean Paddock, age 76

Barbara J. Paddock, age 76, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 9:29 AM- Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Services for Barbara will be held at 11:00 AM – Friday, August 29, 2025, with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois.

Barbara Jean was born on October 5, 1948, in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Sam and Esther (Savoy) Bigard.

She married Thomas W. Paddock on April 20, 1968, in Newton, Illinois.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She adored her family and her cats Sunny and "B" Beatrice. Barbara enjoyed spending time in her garden, a place she enjoyed both night and day.

Barbara was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois.

Barbara is survived by:

Husband of 57 years- Thomas W. Paddock of Newton, Illinois

Children- Kristi Marker (husband Jim) of Aiken, South Carolina and Aaron Paddock of Effingham, Illinois

Grandchildren- Jacob Marker, Kassidy Martorano (husband Michael), Skyler Marker and Zachary Marker

Great-Grandson – Thomas Michael Martorano

Siblings- B.J. White (husband Bob), Bill Bigard (wife Pat), Bob Bigard (wife Alma), Brenda Ebbert (husband Steve)

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.
