Barbara Fenderson Pendleton

Barbara "Barb" Fenderson Pendleton entered eternal rest on February 15, 2026, in Seattle Washington, at the age of 87. She was born on December 11, 1938, in Muleshoe, Texas. Daughter of the late Henry Fluellen, Myron Young Sr. and Earnice Young. Remembered as an excellent cook and a loving mother, who stayed home for her loving children. She was a Deaconess at Nancy Missionary Baptist Church for most of her life and a member of Bonnie Bell Collins #81 under Electra Grand Chapter O.E.S. of the A.R. for the State of Louisiana for more than 50 years. She was a skilled seamstress and an avid volunteer for many good causes, such as feeding the homeless. She loved her children; she is survived by her daughter Mary Phillips Bowen and son Benny Lee Phillips, her brother, Myron Young, and sister-in-law, Paulette Hebert. Barbara is also survived by many loving stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins' other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Nathan Bemmer, and her previous husbands, Samuel L. Fenderson and Robert Pendleton. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday March 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Estelle J. Wilson Funeral Home, Inc. 2715 Danneel St. New Orleans, La. 70113. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. service time. Rev. William Brent Jr. officiating. Interment: Mt.
