Morris J. Williams

Morris J. Williams Jr. entered eternal rest on January 9, 2026, at University Hospital. He was 69 years old and was born on May 1,1956. He was preceded in Death by his Mother Frances L. Smith, his father Morris J. Williams, Sr., and also his stepfather Isaac Smith. Morris completed his studies at Grambling State University, also Xavier University where he earned a bachelor's degree as well as a master's degree in education. Morris has taught in the Orleans Parish School and Jefferson Parish School systems. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. He leaves to cherish his memories (5) daughters, Ingrid Carona Wade (Malcolm Jenkins), Michon Freeman, Kanika Carr, Kashielda Richardson and Kasime Leonard, (1) son Jodie Gibson, a Companion of Cynthia Jones. Also survived by (13) grandchildren, and (2) great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026, for 10:00 a.m. at Estelle J. Wilson Funeral Home, Inc. 2715 Danneel Street New Orleans, La. 70113. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. service time. Interment: Private.
